New Book Releases About Navy SEALs
KETCHUM, IDAHO (October 9, 2009) ~ SFP Studio is pleased to announce the highly-anticipated release of a new book, SEAL: The Unspoken Sacrifice—a collection of stunning black & white photographs along with a narrative that explores and sheds light upon a culture most people have never seen nor fully understood. In the aftermath of 9/11, Stephanie Freid-Perenchio and Jennifer Walton were given the rare opportunity to observe the Naval Special Warfare community in action and gained an unusually high level of access to its inner workings. Their book provides a fascinating glimpse into the world of Navy SEALs and navigates the complex web of emotions these men experience and the daily sacrifices they make during their neverending quest for honor, loyalty, and physical prowess.
Freid-Perenchio and Walton earned the trust of the SEALs and their families, and in turn, the book’s images and words achieve an extraordinary level of intimacy and insight in a world normally cloaked in secrecy and masculinity. Never before had two women from outside the community been given the chance to witness and capture the true life of a Navy SEAL in such a way. Their unique female perspective, along with their captivating and heartfelt portrayals of these men, women, and children, is unlike any other.

Thank you all for supporting our book, SEAL: The Unspoken Sacrifice. This has been an incredible journey for us. We’d like to share the latest news with you…we are going global!
The book was just sent out to publishers for reprint and worldwide distribution. Our first print run sold more quickly than we ever expected. When the books arrived back in October, we never thought we would make it this far in just six months. We have sold out of the Limited Editions and only 300 Regular Editions from the original 2,250 printed are still available for purchase. We have held numerous book signings around the country and attended a variety of SEAL events.
We never doubted the success of the book, but it has surpassed our greatest expectations. The recognition and praise we have received from the White House, the SEAL community, and the American people has overwhelmed us.
